Saturday was “moving day” for Ian.
He’s now part of the Edinboro University student body and seems to have settled nicely — after one day — into his dorm room.
Ian was excited to be there, and even tolerated the decorating and set-up efforts of his mother and sister with good humor.
As for me, I’m in full-bore empty-nest mode. I’m going to miss having Ian around on our regular nights and weekends, but I’m already figuring I’ll be able to use the time for some exercise, reading and other self-improvement efforts!
On Saturday I also had a chance to spend a little extra time with Lauren and see her new apartment. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but she and her roommates have put it together pretty well inside. She’s known her roommates for a long time, and they seem comfortable with each other — and that made me feel more comfortable too.
