Another lawmaker, Rep. Ray Bunt, R-Montgomery County, a 23-year veteran of the General Assembly, announced yesterday that he is returning the unvouchered expenses as a result of pressure from constituents. Bunt voted for the pay hike, which also raised salaries for top state officials and judges.
“I’m just responding to constituents. I don’t feel I did anything wrong,” Bunt said, noting the state Supreme Court has previously upheld the unvouchered expenses.
